APPLICATION OF CHARACTER EDUCATION VALUES METHODS IN ISLAMIC RELIGIOUS EDUCATION LEARNING

This research was conducted at One Roof Public Middle School 6 Merangin with the background of a student who was less honest, less responsible in his actions, did not care about his school environment, and did not love his homeland by littering. After being well implemented, character education students are disciplined and begin to follow the established school rules, which are focused on issues of honesty, discipline, responsibility, care for the environment, and love for the motherland. To uncover this research using a qualitative research approach, data collection methods of observation, interviews and documentation. The data obtained were analyzed using domain analysis techniques, taxonomic analysis, component analysis. It was found that teaching methods, exemplary, storytelling, discussion, cooperative, and simulation had not been fully implemented perfectly. The obstacles faced by the teacher are having difficulty in analyzing student learning outcomes related to attitudes, the large number of students in one class, and the teacher finding it difficult to direct students who do not have a good attitude. Efforts that have been made are honest, disciplined, exemplary teachers in instilling disciplinary character values such as saying greetings at each lesson meeting, reading prayers before and after learning, and reading verses of the Qur'an before learning.
